Daniel Adams Construction Company was founded in 1978 by Danny (Daniel) Adams. With the invaluable support of his wife, Traci Adams, the company has built over 800 custom homes and completed thousands of renovations throughout Moore County, Lake Tillery, and the surrounding areas.

Rooted in faith, family, and a commitment to craftsmanship, what began as a small framing crew has grown into one of the region’s premier design-build firms. From early space planning with bubble diagrams to finalized construction documents and turnkey completion, our team has always been dedicated to delivering homes that reflect both quality and purpose.

Today, that same foundation continues under new ownership. As the company transitions to the next generation, Daniel Adams Construction remains committed to the values it was built on—exceptional craftsmanship, personalized service, and lasting relationships—while bringing fresh energy and perspective to every project.

Rachael Nicklas
Selections Coordinator & Field Support
Rachael serves as the Selections Coordinator and Field Support for the team, working closely with homeowners throughout the design and construction process. Her role focuses on helping clients navigate the many decisions involved in building or renovating a home—from exterior finishes to the finer interior details such as fixtures and door hardware. By guiding clients through these selections, she helps ensure each home reflects the homeowner’s vision while remaining cohesive and functional.

Rachael’s path into the construction industry began in early 2024 when she relocated from Northern Virginia to West End, North Carolina. Prior to entering the industry, she worked as an ABA therapist in Virginia and earned her Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Her background in working closely with families and problem-solving translates naturally into the collaborative environment of residential construction.

What Rachael enjoys most about the building process is seeing an initial idea evolve into a home that truly supports the way a family lives. She values the teamwork involved between homeowners, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and finds it especially rewarding to watch clients walk through their completed homes for the first time.

Rachael and her husband, Owen Lane—Moore County Project Manager—will be stepping into ownership of the company together. Outside of work, they stay busy raising their four boys and caring for their three Cavapoo puppies, Bear, Chewy, and Maverick, along with their bearded dragon, Spyro.

Project Manager | Co-Owner
Owen Lane serves as the Moore County Project Manager, overseeing the day-to-day execution of projects from early site work through final completion. With hands-on experience in the construction industry since the age of fifteen, Owen brings a deep understanding of the building process and the coordination required to keep projects running efficiently. His responsibilities include project management, site supervision, and scheduling trades, ensuring that each phase of construction progresses smoothly and meets the company’s quality standards.

Owen holds an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design, which provides a strong technical foundation for interpreting plans, coordinating with subcontractors, and addressing challenges that arise during construction. His practical field experience combined with his design background allows him to approach projects with both precision and a problem-solving mindset.

Owen takes pride in seeing a project move from plans on paper to a finished home that families can enjoy for years to come. He values the teamwork involved in residential construction and works closely with homeowners, trades, and suppliers to ensure every project is completed with attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Along with his wife, Rachael, Owen will be stepping into ownership of the company. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his four boys, especially hunting and enjoying the outdoors together.
